“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

-Viktor Frankl

Do you experience stress, overthinking, and anxious or worrisome thoughts? Join me virtually on Mondays at 5pm PST for my open and ongoing mindfulness-based stress and anxiety reduction class. This class is for people who suffer from stress, overthinking, and anxiety. In a supportive and nurturing environment you will strengthen your skill of being fully present and unlearn to judge yourself or things around you as good or bad. With practice you will learn how to cultivate self-compassion and kindness for yourself.

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgment. When we are stressed or anxious we are either thinking about something in the past or in the future and not fully in the present moment. Furthermore, we are most likely judging something as either good or bad. As we learn to drop judgment we can begin to let go of negative emotions such as stress and anxiety.

"Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)" is an evidence-based program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. It's designed to help you manage stress, anxiety, pain, and improve overall well-being through the practice of mindfulness.

Class outcomes:

  • Increased awareness and quality of thoughts

  • Enhanced emotional regulation

  • Improved focus and attention

  • Reduced reactivity

  • Enhanced sense of wellbeing and peace

Having practiced meditation and yoga for over 20 years, I enjoy teaching others contemplative practices that have helped manage my own stress and anxiety. Through my stress-management and mindfulness class, you can expect to leave with practical tools that can help you stay calm and feel grounded in the midst of stressful situations.

In 2015, I completed an 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program from Georgetown University Hospital. MBSR is an evidence-based course that teaches participants skills to reduce physical and emotional stress, and enhance day-to-day well-being. More recently, I completed a 10 day Vipassana silent retreat and use my experience with my own monkey mind and daily practice to inform my teaching.

I have over 15 years of experience working with teens and adults in various capacities. My most favorite work is teaching meditation, leading Stress-Management workshops, and helping others increase their self-awareness. Book here.
