About me

Hi, I’m Cathy and I am excited to support you on your wellness journey! I’ve always had a passion for all things relating to the mind, body, and spirit. I am a Peruvian American Clinical Therapist, Reiki Healer, yoga/meditation, and Pilates Instructor.

I have experience working as a Somaticl Therapist on the east coast and now California. I served as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington and American University where I taught Stress-Management, yoga, and mindfulness for 5 years. Having practiced meditation and yoga for over 20 years, I enjoy teaching others contemplative practices that have helped me manage my own stress and anxiety.

I received my 600 hour Comprehensive Classical Pilates Certification through Power Pilates in 2013.  A year later I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Down Dog Yoga in Georgetown, Washington, DC. and in 2016, my love and addiction for Thai yoga massage motivated me to travel to Chiang Mai, Thailand to complete a Thai massage training.  Since then I have delved more deeply into the healing arts receiving certifications in Reiki and completed my 300 hours in Ayurveda.

I believe that feeling good is contagious and that as Pilates, Reiki, and yoga help you feel more agile, stronger, and more flexible, you are left feeling good in your body.  I draw on my experience and my knowledge of therapy, yoga, meditation, Thai massage, and Reiki to deliver a very unique experience for each and every one of my clients. All of my sessions are tailored to your needs, goals, and how your body is feeling that day. Sessions include breath work and adjustments, and I aim for you to leave feeling stronger and more energized.

I believe in a holistic and strengths-based approach to healing and wellness. I have experience working with a range of topics including stress management, mindfulness, emotional regulation, relationships and much more. I feel at my best when I am empowering others to be the best versions of themselves and recognize their inner strength.
